This article offers a speculative reading of that canonical event by bringing together three discourses whose convergence is itself the argument: the philosophy of religion of Maurice Blondel, the dialectics of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, and the psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan.
